School of Light AI Guide

Project Overview

The School of Light has an extensive collection of teachings, programs, events, resources, and educational content created by Sunny Dawn Johnston. Visitors may arrive with very different questions and may not always know where to begin.

I created the School of Light Guide, an interactive AI agent that helps users explore this information through a conversational chat experience.

Built with MindPal, the guide uses a curated School of Light knowledge base to answer questions, explain concepts, recommend relevant resources, and help visitors identify useful next steps based on what they are seeking.

Rather than requiring visitors to search through multiple pages, programs, and resources on their own, the AI Guide allows them to ask questions naturally and receive immediate guidance based on Sunny’s existing teachings and School of Light content.

Process and Key Solutions

The project involved more than adding a general chatbot to the website. The goal was to create a useful digital guide that could understand the School of Light ecosystem, reflect Sunny’s established body of work, and help users navigate the available information without replacing the personal connection at the heart of the brand.

I began by identifying the types of questions visitors commonly ask about Sunny’s teachings, School of Light programs, spiritual growth, personal development, events, memberships, and available resources.

Relevant content was then organized into a structured knowledge base that the AI agent could reference when responding. Inside MindPal, I developed the guide’s instructions, response style, boundaries, conversation flow, and approach to recommending appropriate resources.

The agent was tested with a variety of questions to identify incomplete, unclear, or inaccurate responses. Its instructions and source material were refined to improve consistency, usefulness, and alignment with the School of Light experience.

Users can ask questions, explore ideas, learn about available resources, and receive direction without first understanding the full structure of the website. The guide also creates a scalable way to make Sunny’s existing knowledge more accessible while keeping the source material organized and centrally managed.

The agent can continue evolving as new programs, events, teachings, and resources are added to the School of Light knowledge base.
